A two-hour teleconference workshop, "Market Needs Assessment" was conducted with the College of St. Benilde in Manila, Philippines, on January 21st, 2008. Mr. Joshua Beal, a graduate student in RIT's Masters of Business Administration Program and PEN-International professional intern, presented an overview on conducting market needs assessments for aspiring business owners. He covered the various types of needs assessments, including the 12-step process of conducting a market needs assessment, using the clothing business and coffee shop as examples. This workshop was the second in a series of three Entrepreneurship workshops that Mr. Beal is conducting as part of his internship requirements with PEN-International. There were approximately 20 participants including students, alumni, and instructors at CSB.
