Spring 2025 Orientation

Successfully launch your RIT experience.

Attend the Spring Orientation program (Friday, Jan. 10, and Saturday, Jan. 11, 2025) to learn more about your RIT experience. During Orientation, new students starting their RIT career in Spring 2025 will attend informational sessions that connect them to important services and resources on campus, all while meeting other incoming students.

You must register for Spring Orientation by Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2025.

Your On-Campus Orientation Experience

Move-In for Students Living On-Campus
Students planning to live on campus will move into their on-campus housing on Friday, Jan. 10. After completing the move in process, students are invited to attend a resource fair and participate in a tour of campus.

Orientation Check-in and RIT Resource Fair
All new students are invited to participate in Orientation check-in and attend the Resource Fair on Friday, Jan. 10. Get a head start on your experience by picking up your student ID and connect with services and resources that will help you be successful.

Orientation Programming for All Students Starting at RIT in Spring 2025
All new students beginning their RIT experience in the Spring should plan to attend Spring Orientation programming on Saturday, Jan. 11. Our informational sessions and social programming are designed to help you connect with RIT resources that will help you successfully launch your RIT experience. You’ll also have the opportunity to connect with current students and other new Tigers. 

Preliminary schedule of events:

  • 9-10 a.m. Check in
  • 10-10:30 a.m. Welcome Presentation
  • 10:30 a.m.- 12 p.m. Educational Presentations
  • 12-1:30 p.m. Lunch
  • 1:30-4:30 p.m. Educational Presentations
  • 4:30-6:30 p.m. Dinner and Educational Presentations
  • 6:30 p.m. Social Program

Virtual Orientation

Virtual Orientation

Jump start your Orientation experience with the RIT Virtual Orientation platform. The virtual orientation experience will provide you with important information to help you successfully launch your RIT journey. The modules cover topics such as student life, wellness, cybersecurity, Title IX, and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. Completion of all modules is required for all new students.

  • You must complete all modules before your in-person Orientation begins. Feel free to go through this program at your own pace. If you need to take a break, you can log back in at any time and pick up where you left off.
  • Write down your questions and bring them with you to in-person Orientation. Your Orientation Leader is eager to answer any questions you may have about your RIT journey.
