Thousands come out to illuminate RIT campus
Golisano Institute for Sustainability, Louise M. Slaughter Hall and the surrounding quad basked in a sea of light Saturday for RIT’s 30th Big Shot. More than 2,900 volunteers, including nearly 1,500 RIT students and 130 alumni, provided the primary light source for the nighttime photo project.

The third annual 9/11 Remembrance Vigil will be held Thursday on the grass knoll in front of the Sentinel statue. Air Force ROTC cadets and students will be selling American flags today and Wednesday.

Women’s cross country places five in top 10
The women’s cross country team placed three runners in the top five and five in the top 10 at the SUNY Oswego Cross Country Invitational on Saturday. The Tigers finished with 28 team points, besting regionally-ranked SUNY Cortland and nationally-ranked No. 22 Ithaca.
