Ryan Florey

Ryan’s ceramic work is an ongoing study of form, to discover new and interesting shapes while exploring the intersection of art, craft, and design. Slip-cast and altered, the porcelain vessels are cubist abstractions that reference design in nature; perfect geometries of mineralogical formations and biologic organisms as well as man made architectural structures. Every facet, line, edge, and plane of is sculpted and refined and allows the subtle character of the vessel to be revealed.
