2025 RIT Summer Wrestling Camp

This summer camp is designed to give 7th-12th grade wrestlers the opportunity to maximize their potential through technical development, hard drilling, and live wrestling.


This camp will allow campers to train, meet the coaching staff, and gain visibility with the RIT coaching staff. All campers will also receive a t-shirt.

RIT Wrestling is excited to partner with The Granby System for this year's camp.  Learn techniques from their coaching staff as they teach campers the skills that have made their programs successful at the highest levels of wrestling.  The Granby System includes: 

TAKEDOWNS Learn... 
-setups and finishes for the Sweep Single 

- simple setups for the Inside Step and Russian Arm Series 

- the Granby School's Front Head Lock Series

-our patented Iranian Series to successfully finish poor shots

 BOTTOM Learn … 
-the Shoulder Granby, the hold that Billy Martin invented 

-the Head Shrug, the basis building block on the bottom that can be executed from the ref position, sit out, or change-over motion 

-the Head Granby, the most powerful shrug from the bottom 

-our patented Forced Roll series that finishes all bottom techniques with a sure five -point hold 

-our Standing Rolls that can be easily incorporated with your stand -up series 

-Tilt and leg defense 

TOP Learn … 
-the Radman Ride and how it sets up the Arm Bar and Churella Tilts, Turks, and Cradles 

-special techniques to stop the Stand -up, Switch, and all first holds off the whistle

Equipment:

Wrestling Shoes, Running Shoes, Head Gear, Knee Pads, Mouth guard, Several sets of workout gear (shorts, t-shirts, etc.), Personal water bottle. Commuters bring extra clothes and shower items for in between sessions.

Pickup Policy

To track all drop-offs and pickups of children, parents/guardians are required to sign children in/out on the daily attendance sheet. Staff are not permitted to sign these sheets on behalf of parents/guardians.

Generally, persons picking up children must be at least 18 years of age and bring a valid photo identification. In exceptional circumstances, and only with the parent/guardian’s written consent, a younger individual may be permitted to pick up a child.

Refund Policy

Full refunds will be given only to those who request them before June 22nd. Any refunds requested after June 22nd will require a Doctor's note.  Please allow up to 2 weeks after the conclusion of the event for processing.

Discount Policy

For all Men’s Wrestling Camps excluding HS Age children due to NCAA rules:

  • Children of Camp staff may attend for only the cost of shirts and meals.  Participant will register as any other camper without making payment and submit reduced rate as determined by camp director to the camp director via cash/check. 
  • Financial Hardship, if expressed by a parent/guardian, may allow for a reduced rate covering shirt/meals/portion of facility/other charges if there are enough attendees to be able to absorb the difference within the budget as determined by camp director.  If there are not enough attendees to absorb this additional expense, a reduced rate may not be offered.  The amount due may vary between camps.  Participant will register as any other camper without making payment and pay the reduced rate to the camp director via cash/check.
