Bio
Katie Post enters her eighth season as RIT Cheerleading’s head coach in the 22-23 season. Post, a former RIT cheerleader and assistant coach, spent four seasons with the Tigers from 2006-2010. Post was captain for two seasons (2008-2010) and assistant coach (2014-2015). Post has led the Tigers to four appearances at the NCA Collegiate Nationals in Daytona Beach Florida. Most notable finishes are 2021 Second Place in Division Three All Girl Intermediate Virtual, and 2022 Second place in Division Three Small COED Advanced.
Post is a local to the Rochester area and has made a significant contribution to the local youth cheerleading programs.
After graduating from RIT, Post opened her own dance studio, and has mentored an all-star cheerleading team since 2009. Many of her students held regional titles and won multiple bids for national competitions and has been the coach of some nationally ranked teams.
Post has also choreographed and judged for multiple companies. She is a NYSCJA certified official, Varsity Certified, Open Brands certified, Stunt Coach and Official certified, and USA and NFHS cheer safety certified.
Post graduated from RIT with a Masters in Professional Studies with a focus in higher education. Outside of cheer and dance, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her furbabies.
