Question: Where are you from?
Answer: I’m from Mayville, N.Y.
Q: What brought you to RIT?
A: In high school, I took Project Lead the Way classes that gave me college credit at RIT. During my senior year I decided that since I already had credits here I should at least visit. Once I saw the campus and heard about the co-op program, I knew this was where I wanted to go.
Q: Why did you decide to study your major?
A: The Project Lead the Way courses I took were pre-engineering courses. Those classes made me look into engineering and my love for aviation made me choose the aerospace option.
Q: What have been some of your favorite memories from your time at RIT?
A: My favorite memories at RIT would have to be the times spent at the Brick City Singers apartment in University Commons. It’s a really great group of guys and there’s never a dull moment around them.
Q: How did you get involved with Brick City Singers?
A: I saw posters for male a cappella auditions my freshman year. I loved singing so I went to the auditions and after hearing every group perform a song I ended up with Brick City Singers as my top choice. Luckily, they picked me, too.
Q: What do you like about being in the group?
A: I like the group dynamic. Not only do we sound good together, we work well together, too. If anyone in the group has an issue with something, they say something. It really reinforces trust and keeps our group close.
Q: What is Night of A Cappella?
A: NOAC is our biggest concert of the year and our chance to share what we’ve been working hard on all year. This year we are featuring two guest groups, Some Like It Hot and The Royal Pitches.
Q: What are you most looking forward to about the event?
A: As a tradition, NOAC will have a short two-part film played before each half of the concert. This year, I think it’s going to be a great movie. I can’t give away any spoilers, but you’re in for a treat!
Q: Why should people attend NOAC?
A: People should attend NOAC because it’s going to be a lot of fun. Brick City Singers is a high-energy group that loves to perform. We take that energy on stage and do our best to make it a great show. I can personally guarantee you’ll enjoy NOAC 14.
Q: What would you like to do after graduation?
A: After I graduate, I would like to work for an aerospace engineering firm doing research and development.
