Remanufacturing Testbed
GIS is home to RIT’s 12,000-ft2 remanufacturing testbed. It is fitted with state-of-the-art equipment, including semi-automated workstations, to help our industry partners test, validate, and de-risk their investment in remanufacturing. The testbed can simulate the entire remanufacturing process, including cleaning, additive repair, nondestructive inspection, electronic testing and repair, automated core identification, and disassembly and assembly.
The RIT Remanufacturing Testbed is where innovation and opportunities in reman—new technologies, applications, products, services, and processes—can be initiated, thought through, and rigorously tested to determine their usefulness and viability before coming to market.
