    RIT aids in global climate solution initiatives

    The Exchange plans to build a 400,000-square-foot campus on Governors Island, in the West River, next to the Statue of Liberty. One of the new facilities will be a state-of-the-art building with a serpentine roof that resembles a roller coaster with a solar canopy.

    Conference returns to show how remanufacturing can break through ‘business as usual’

    The RIC-RIT World Remanufacturing Conference (WRC) returns September 10–12, 2024, to showcase the market-proven—and market-disrupting—ideas and technologies that are rapidly expanding what “reman” can achieve in today’s fast-changing business environment. The only conference dedicated entirely to remanufacturing across all sectors will be held in Chicago, Illinois, this year with a new lineup of keynote presenters, panel discussions, tours, and more.

    Students challenged to phase out toxic chemicals using green chemistry

    This summer, four teams of students from Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) and three other universities across New York State are leading research focused on green chemistry to discover more sustainable chemical products or processes. The results of their work will be presented at a research symposium hosted by the New York State Pollution Prevention Institute (NYSP2I) at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York, on September 20, 2024, featuring a keynote address by John Warner, co-founder of green chemistry.
