Admissions and Aid

To be considered for admission at RIT Tirana, students must show proficiency in English and math, along with evidence of successful completion of high school at a high level of achievement.

Entrance Exam

Our entrance exams are designed to assess the academic readiness and potential of prospective students. We offer a variety of exams, including English proficiency tests and math assessments, to ensure that students are placed in the appropriate level of coursework. Our exams are developed by experts in the field and are regularly reviewed to ensure their fairness and accuracy.

Admissions

Students are classified into three enrollment categories based on the entrance exam results:

Regular Admission

Students who have demonstrated above-average knowledge in English and mathematics are granted direct enrollment at RIT Tirana. At this level, they start directly with the Writing Seminar and Pre-calculus Math classes, which are the highest-level classes for a freshman student. Additionally, they may take up to three other RIT credit courses.

Conditional Admission

Students who require additional preparation in English, writing, and comprehensive skills are enrolled in this level. During their first academic semester, they focus on intensive English and math courses. Upon successfully completing these courses, students progress to the Writing Seminar and Algebra. Additionally, they may take up to two other RIT-credit courses, depending on their assigned class schedule.

Alternative Admission

This process provides an opportunity for students who wish to apply to RIT Tirana but cannot attend the mathematics exam in person or submit standardized test results due to specific circumstances. While it follows a process similar to regular admissions, there are two key differences in how English and math criteria are evaluated:

English Criteria
Instead of submitting SAT or TOEFL scores, applicants are assessed through an online interview with the Admissions Committee.

Math Criteria
Instead of taking the SAT or the Institutional Math Exam, applicants can submit their high school math grades for evaluation. This process ensures a fair and flexible pathway for students to demonstrate their qualifications and pursue admission to RIT Tirana.
