Beacon

Inspired by the opening chapter of the Vignelli canon, ‘Semantics,’ I embarked on a compendious but profound design journey. Exploring the nature of light and its purpose, I came to realize that light serves as a powerful symbol of knowledge. As I embraced the creative process, a simple but beautiful fusion unfolded between light and knowledge. Symbolically light became a gentle reminder, urging us to nourish our intellect through the timeless act of reading. Placing a book on the lamp base became a constant and poignant reminder that knowledge is a guiding light we should actively pursue. The resulting design aptly named “Beacon,” celebrates the intrinsic relationship between light and knowledge.

My design approach is fueled by a profound fascination with the intricate relationships that exist between people and products, and the experiences they create. Through Beacon, I aimed to capture and amplify these layered relationships, inviting individuals to engage with the design and experience the transformative power of light and knowledge.
