Dean's Advisory Council

The Graduate Education Dean’s Advisory Council (DAC) exists to support the mission and guide the vision of the RIT Graduate School. The Council serves in an advisory capacity to review the goals of the Office, exchange ideas, and offer recommendations to the Dean of Graduate Education in key strategic areas. The Board is composed of prominent, high-profile alumni, individuals familiar with Federal/State research funding and policies, influential industry/community leaders, and educators who are supporters of graduate education.

The Dean’s Advisory Council Chair is a member of the Council appointed by the Dean to encourage collaboration among members of the Council. As Chair, this member leads activities, conducts meetings, and works with the Dean along with the development team, helping guide established goals.

The Advisory Council normally meets twice per calendar year. Meetings will typically be held in Rochester although if opportunities to promote graduate education outside of Rochester become available, travel may be necessary.
