Dr. Thomas Trabold is an energy researcher with broad background in nuclear, imaging and automotive industries. His experience covers a range from basic research, to development and scale-up. His specific interests are in sustainability, particularly as it relates to mobility and power generation; and he is recognized for his technical knowledge in energy systems, fuel cells, bio-fuels, neutron measurement methods, two-phase flow, and fluid mechanics instruments.

Tom has been a faculty member in the Golisano Institute for Sustainability since 2009. Prior to joining RIT, he was a Laboratory Group Manager and Technical Fellow at General Motors, a senior researcher at Xerox Corporation, and a senior engineer at Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory. He holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Clarkson University.
