Prior to joining the RIT Division of Development and Alumni Relations in January, 2011, Robert practiced law for over 25 years in Buffalo as a partner with Damon & Morey LLP (now Barclay & Damon), limiting his practice to trust and estate and charitable gift planning, focusing on families, business executives, and medical and other professionals. Robert is an elected Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel. He was admitted to practice in both New York State and Florida.

Robert moved to the financial services field where he was a First Vice President with HSBC Private Bank and served as Regional Head of the Personal Trust business in upstate New York from 2003 to 2010.

He is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania (BA) and State University of New York at Buffalo (JD, MBA).
