Timothy J Cosgriff '96 Artwork in two Rochester Exhibitions
Note: Timothy J. Cosgriff MS '96 (CAST) has work in the Sweet Creations Exhibition at the George Eastman Museum. His work, "Le Voyage Dans la Lun, Possible!" ss a celebration of the work of Georges M's and the 50th anniversary of the Apollo moon landing. The work further celebrates the Museum's work in film preservation.
The gingerbread creation features French explorers with spats, top hats, and umbrellas. Lunar inhabitants, the Selenites, join the explorers. The moon landscape features falling snow and pyrotechnics. Umbrellas that turn into magic mushrooms join the space ship. For the background, Cosgriff features his photographic work, a Lomography Fish Eye image shot on Black and White Film. The free shot image is the Canandaigua Sky taken off a dock in the lake. The exhibit runs until December 15, 2019. Cosgriff's work is one that will remain on display until January 1, 2020, at the request of Kathy Connor at the Museum. Cosgriff has exhibited in Sweet Creations Exhibit for more than ten years.
Cosgriff also has work in the International Art of the Book at the Central Library of Rochester and Monroe County. His work, Young Frankenstein Steampunk Bookends is an altered book creation. Discarded books, found objects and discarded hardware are the mediums used in this creation. The exhibit will run from 12/4/2019-02/01/2020. This is the third time Cosgriff has exhibited in the International Art of the Book. Previously, Cosgriff was a judge of the exhibit.

Note: William (Bill) Truran '75 (GAP) writes he is grateful to be still shooting full time as a food photographer even though he is 65. Bill is grateful because he have always loved what he have done. There is nothing better than making money with a camera. All of his clients have become friends so shooting is not only fun, but the comradery is wonderful and his friends send him money in exchange for images. Thank you RIT. You helped get him where he is today. Fifteen years with studios in NYC, 15 years within Nabisco and Kraft Foods and 15+ back on his own. It has been and still is great! It was great to meet Dr. Tood S. Jokl at the Photo show RIT meet-up. Go go go photo students!
