Innovation meets creativity at Imagine RIT

RIT Hosts Famed Tabla Musician Sandeep Das as Artist-in-Residence

Grammy-winning tabla musician Sandeep Das worked with RIT students and performed a concert during his Delhi to Kabul residency. Das was joined by members of his Harmony and Universality through Music (HUM) ensemble. They offered master classes and pop-up workshops throughout the four-day residency. Das also participated in a panel discussion on Tradition, Innovation, Communication, and Collaboration.

Kwaku Alston BFA '94 was recently recognized for his work in photography, as his favorite images from this past year were selected to be in the American Photography 40 Award Book. Additionally, Kwaku won an Award of Excellence through Communication Arts Magazine in their 65th annual photography competition for his photo of Bill Hader, which was used in The New Yorker.

Frank Cicha BS '61 announced his engagement to Ms. Judith Ann Hunt, formerly of Knoxville, TN. The wedding is planned for June 8, 2024 at the Friendship Baptist Church in Ocala, Florida.
