ASCM@RIT Visits Local Companies
Members of ASCM@RIT, RIT’s Supply Chain Management Club, made two site visits: to Gorbel on November 8th and Alliance Precision Plastics on November 15th. The visitors included Saunders students majoring in supply chain management, global business management, finance, and accounting.
The students were accompanied by Julio Talledo, Saunders assistant director for business development, and Kevin Sweeney, associate professor in the department of management and faculty advisor to ASCM@RIT.
“This visit was a chance for supply chain students to see the internal workings of a couple of manufacturing firms,” says Sweeney, “as well as get an opportunity to learn about their purchasing processes and supply chains from their supply chain managers and directors.”
