- Zutes Faculty Fellowship
Emigrating from Greece, Dean C. Zutes was a prominent businessman in the Rochester area. An entrepreneur, he started a wholesale candy and tobacco business with his brother, which they managed into a successful enterprise. Mr. Zutes continued to manage his company into his eighties and eventually passed away in November 2001, at the age of 88.
In his passing, Mr. Zutes left Saunders College of Business a large endowment. In consultation with the faculty, former Dean Thomas Hopkins established the Zutes Faculty Fellowship to recognize excellence in scholarship among the members of Saunders College of Business. The first fellows were inducted in 2005.
Zutes Fellows are selected yearly based on the quantity and quality of their scholarship.
