Manlu Liu, professor, and Ali Tosyali, assistant professor, both in the department of MIS, marketing, and analytics, co-chaired the Workshop on E-Business 2024 (AI Innovations in e-Business: Exploring Trends, Challenges, and Prospects), held in Bangkok, Thailand on December 14, 2024.
The workshop, in conjunction with the International Conference on Information Systems (Bangkok, December 15-18, 2024), was “an open platform for global e-Business researchers and practitioners to share current research, explore new ideas, discuss successes and lessons learned, identify key challenges, and collaboratively shape the future of e-Business.” It provided Saunders College an opportunity to gain recognition in the burgeoning AI field.
The keynote speaker was the CEO of a prominent AI business in Thailand. WeB2024 was recognized as the most successful WeB conference in its 23-year history.
WeB2025 will be held in Nashville, Tennessee.
In an offshoot of their workshop, Liu and Tosyali are serving as guest editors of Electronic Commerce Research and Applications (ECRA), which is a top academic journal in the E-Commerce field. They are calling for papers for a special issue on the theme of “AI Innovations in e-Business: Exploring Trends, Challenges, and Prospects.”
