Now that you have been accepted into our graduate program, it is time to start thinking about housing. You have several options, whether you choose to live on campus or off campus.

First, be sure to pay your deposit so that you can secure your spot and access our on-campus housing portal.

On Campus Housing

While you are making your decision about where to live, consider these benefits to living on campus:

Close proximity to classes and campus events
RIT Shuttle services are provided to and from campus buildings and local shopping centers
Highly safe and secure buildings
Convenient 9-month housing contracts, flexible for co-op and study abroad schedules
Free laundry
Live in an academically focused environment

There are many on-campus housing residencies to choose from. We encourage you to find the one that best fits your lifestyle and needs:

Once you pay your deposit, you will receive an email with access to the myLife portal so you can apply for and sign housing contracts.

Be sure to look at the important dates for on campus housing to ensure you meet the deadlines.

Off Campus Housing

There are also several options for living off campus, including student housing and non-student housing residencies. Here are the student housing options that are within walking distance of RIT and have RIT Shuttle stops:

Here are some tips for making your housing decision:

Consider your transportation to and from campus (car, parking passes, public transportation, RIT Shuttle).
Consider extra costs beyond rent (laundry, internet, electricity, parking, gas, groceries, etc.).
Look into student and non-student housing options and choose the one that fits you best.
Look at several rental search sites including Zillow, Google, and Facebook Marketplace.
Be sure to read reviews and do your research.
