Lagiewski presents at Smart Tourism Congress
Rick Lagiewski, co-director of executive education, presented "Destination Disasters: Supporting Vulnerable Consumers Through Analysis, Modelling, and Visualization of Tourism Data" at the VCETT Smart Tourism Congress on Nov. 28 in Barcelona, Spain. Collaborating with Victor Perotti, professor in the Department of MIS, Marketing, and Analytics, their research uses AI and machine learning to predict consumer needs during natural disasters, improving disaster response strategies.
