What is great about your co-op?

My co-op was fantastic! I got to work on automation projects for the fund accounting team within the controller's division at Goldman Sachs, allowing me to utilize my finance and management information systems (MIS) skills. The best part was the flexibility I had in approaching these unique, challenging, and fulfilling projects. I learned a lot about multitasking due to working on different projects and attending other meetings. My co-workers and managers were fantastic; they were always open to sharing experiences and offering help. 

In what ways has Saunders prepared you for the job market?

Saunders College of Business does a great job of preparing students for the job market through dynamic course offerings, emphasis on co-ops for practical experience, and study abroad programs, which I was able to take advantage of. The dynamic business and technology curriculum provided me with a robust set of skills. Outside the classroom, I've done undergraduate research, which taught me a lot about methodological skills and gave me a different perspective on the business world. The supportive environment, fostered by the advisor's team and incredible professors, helped me gain confidence when navigating the job market.

Why did you decide to attend Saunders College of Business at RIT?

I have always been interested in how technology and business intersect, especially since I took coding and economics in high school. When I was applying to colleges, Saunders College of Business stood out. 

RIT is already well known for its excellent engineering and computing schools, and Saunders College, as a part of RIT, would be a great spot for me to be. Saunders does an exceptional job of integrating technology in business fields. The diverse course selection resonated deeply with my interests. The college's emphasis on studying abroad offered an incredible opportunity to broaden my understanding of global finance while immersing myself in different cultures.

What is the most distinctive advantage gained from your Saunders experience?

The most distinctive advantage of my Saunders experience is the seamless integration of business and technology. During my time at Saunders, I had the opportunity to take classes that provided me with practical skills that I utilized during my internship.
