This exhibit will mark the first time juried members of the Arena Art Group will partner with Gallery r for their largest and most comprehensive exhibit of the year. This exhibit promises to be an eclectic show, In addition to painting and photography, included will be sculptural work in fiber, ceramic, and metal as well as mixed media and encaustic pieces. 

Providing a forum for creative and critical expression of the visual arts, Gallery r exhibitions present themes of social responsibility and artistic substance for the region's cultural community. Striving to stimulate deeper appreciation for the arts, Gallery r challenges viewers to expand their understanding of diverse viewpoints and to acknowledge artistic content and creative exploration.

Arena Art Group, the first organization of it's kind to promote the work of Rochester's contemporary artists, has experienced a recent surge of interest from the artistic community. After reviewing a record number of applicants this past year, the group's executive committee accepted new artists through the jury process that resulted in increasing the membership by almost 20%.
