2018 Exhibitions
The debut exhibition at the new RIT City Art Space presented the work of RIT professors and lifelong artists Willie Osterman and Leonard Urso.
Tangible Effects is a group exhibition of work by seniors in Ceramics, Furniture Design, Glass, and Metals & Jewelry Design; featuring Kyu Hyun (Joseph) Chen, Codey Davis, Samuel Fishman, Aidan Garrity, Samantha Greco, Autumn Hausthor, Sarah Kridenoff, Eric Meeker, Tate Newfield, Jarryd Pezzillo, Daniel Pfohl, Jean Lan Polishook, Madeline Stewart, and Luca Tifone.
Casual Fourplay is a group exhibition of work by seniors in the studio art program at RIT’s School of Art, featuring sculpture, installation and video by Holly Ferguson, Eliza Harvey, Erika McCarthy, and Kit Shulman.
Controlled Trauma is a group exhibition marking ten years of a specialized photography course offered to RIT students in partnership with Rochester Regional Health. With exclusive access to operating rooms at Rochester General Hospital, students capture details of complex and sensitive procedures, the surgeons and medical staff, and the operating room tools and equipment.
Wu’s presentation at Gallery r will feature recent sculpture, installation, and wearable designs, several of which are award-winning. Most recently, Wu was a finalist for the 2017 Enjoia’t Contemporary Jewelry Award in Barcelona for her wearable piece entitled Horizon 3, which was also featured on the runway at Rochester Fashion Week.
