2019 Exhibitions
Images from Science 3 is a collaborative experiment that initially began in 2002 at Rochester Institute of Technology, and was organized to celebrate the production of extraordinary images featuring science. At its core mission, the project seeks to explore the interface of science, technology, art, design, and communication.
A pop-up exhibition inspired by the revitalization of Rochester’s downtown by bringing together artists that resonate with the importance of building walkable cities, curated by Cecily Culver as part of the small-venue biennial, Current Seen.
Meta project is an annual collaboration between RIT Industrial Design students and industry partners. Each year, seniors in the program are challenged to engage design thinking in a project prompted by the nature of the industry partner’s mission, products, or services.
This year’s Faculty in Focus series features a group exhibition of current work by David Schnuckel, Suzanne Peck, Lydia Martin, and John Shea. The artists will examine diverse practices revolving around shared values in material research, the handmade, and creative activity as a means to navigate the unknown.
