About

Our Mission is to build a supportive community that celebrates the talent of underrepresented students in Computing. We work to accomplish our mission by providing mentorship, mental health awareness, and leadership opportunities.

Goals

  • Create and maintain an inclusive environment for underrepresented
students in computing.
  • Provide mentorship to underrepresented students in computing through professional development, academic support, and opportunities to gain technical experience.
  • Foster professional development by holding workshops and creating connections between students, alumni, and employers.
  • Support underrepresented students in computing through mental health workshops and equipping them with resources to help navigate through hardships.
  • Create a positive impact on the underrepresented computing community by engaging with local underrepresented students and fostering STEM education.
  • Develop a space within GCCIS for underrepresented students to celebrate their culture and connect with other students like them in computing.
