A team of RIT cybersecurity students is moving on to the National Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition (NCCDC), after taking first place at the regional competition March 19–21. The annual event is part of the nation’s largest college-level cyber defense competition.

Podcast: Championship Hacking

Registration open for cybersecurity bootcamp for deaf and hard-of-hearing adults
An initiative to retrain deaf and hard-of-hearing adults for employment in cybersecurity jobs is being launched by NTID as the demand for information security analysts is on the rise, and many employers are looking for applicants with skills in cybersecurity. In partnership with RIT’s Global Cybersecurity Institute, the fully remote bootcamp is specifically designed for deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals.

New institute helps RIT attack cyber threats
For too long, cybersecurity has been an afterthought. In a preemptive strike on cybersecurity threats across the world, RIT has created the Global Cybersecurity Institute (GCI). Late last fall, the GCI opened the doors to its 52,000-square-foot state-of-the-art facility on campus. With the institute, RIT is on its way to becoming one of the best places in the world for cybersecurity education, training, and research.
