#IamRITfaculty campaign showcases some of RIT’s diverse outstanding scholars
First video highlights NTID Research Faculty Thomastine Sarchet
RIT’s Office of Faculty Diversity and Recruitment is launching a series of videos to highlight diverse outstanding faculty from across the university. The series, titled #IamRITfaculty, kicked off Monday with an interview featuring Thomastine Sarchet, research faculty in the National Technical Institute for the Deaf’s Center for International Outreach.
“These conversations with some of our star faculty members are designed to provide a behind-the- scenes glimpse into life as a faculty member here at RIT, life as a community member within the greater Rochester community and provide useful insight and advice,” said series host Donathan Brown, assistant provost and assistant vice president for faculty diversity and recruitment. Brown said he hopes the videos will be a helpful resource for prospective faculty from diverse backgrounds who want to learn more about RIT’s work and community environment.
Brown recorded nine conversations with faculty from across the university and the Office of Faculty Diversity and Recruitment will release a new video each Monday from now through December. The videos will be shared through social media using the hashtag #IamRITfaculty and housed on the Office of Faculty Diversity and Recruitment website.
