DDI Tutoring kicks off for the spring semester on Tuesday, February 7th!
This is the third semester of the Division of Diversity & Inclusion’s tutoring initiative. Started to fulfill a need for students involved in the division programs, peer-to-peer tutoring is a best practice approach for helping improve retention and graduation rates for underrepresented students. Each semester has seen the program grow in different ways. This semester we will be offering two nights of general tutoring but we will be collaborating with several student organizations to create a culture of study sessions with tutor support. This allows students the opportunity to partner with their peers to provide academic support to those involved in their organizations, and put a focus on academic success as a component of membership. If you are a group, or know a group, who would be interested in this kind of partnership, please contact Liz Bremer, eabcrp@rit.edu
