Congratulations to Kate Torrey on her promotion to Director for McNair and Campus Coordinator for LSAMP programs. Previously, Kate was the Assistant Director for LSAMP and McNair Scholars. She has been instrumental in connecting and advising undergraduate students throughout their academic experience at RIT, since joining the McNair Scholars program in 2012.

Congratulations to Kareem Hayes, Director of Upward Bound as the recipient of the Best Literary Work of the Year award for “Men’s Daily Affirmations: 21 Days of Affirmation” during the 2018 Rochester Black Male Achieve Awards in late January. Kareem was recognized for his commitment to excellence and positively impacting the lives of young boys and men of color.
