RIT Receives Award for Military Programs | March 2022
RIT has been designated a Military Friendly School, bronze category for 2022-2023. The news was released this week from the organization, The Military Friendly® Schools. Rachel Mathews, director of RIT’s Veterans Upward Bound, submitted all of the survey information this year and in it, included the following statement as one of the reasons RIT is deserving of the award:
“RIT has a tradition of honoring and supporting active duty military, veterans and their dependents. We understand active duty military and student veterans’ needs and we are committed to helping each one of our students reach their full potential. RIT is proud to participate in the Yellow Ribbon program, the tuition assistance program for active duty military through the Department of Defense (DOD MOU), and abides by the Principles of Excellence guidelines.”
