Upward Bound Classic Students at Imagine RIT
Several of RIT’s Upward Bound Classic (UBC) high school students had the opportunity to get an insider’s view of the 11th Annual Imagine RIT: Innovation and Creativity Festival with current RIT students.
The Upward Bound Classic program is designed to help first-generation and/or low-income students who are enrolled in the Rochester City School District and other participating school districts. UBC exposes high school students in Rochester to college access workshops, address financial literacy and share information on vital college resources, to enhance the student’s academic studies while increasing their knowledge and reinforcing college preparedness. These UBC students were from Leadership Academy for Young Men. This college visit offered UBC students an opportunity to be exposed to such a unique and motivating experience, where they can see how their potential ideas can become a reality.
