We send a warm welcome to Tabitha (TJ) Vick, the new associate director of HEOP. Her first day with the Division of Diversity and Inclusion was April 22nd. She most recently served as an academic advisor in the Kate Gleason College of Engineering and as adjunct faculty in the Academic Success Center. Before coming to RIT, she worked at Monmouth College as assistant director of Residence Life. She holds a Master of Science in Education in Counselor Education: College Counseling and Student Affairs from SUNY Brockport and she received her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Knox College. By the way, you can call her “TJ.”
It is always an honor when our work is recognized. Congratulations to Assistant Director for Assessment and Academic Success Robert Bonfiglio on your nomination for the Presidential Awards for Outstanding Staff.
Kendall Scott, director Native American Future Stewards Program continues to represent RIT in his travels. He has been selected for the National Congress of American Indians Media Training and Communication Fellowship at Arizona State University, taking place this month. In June, he will attend the Native American Indian Education Association of New York’s Spring Gathering 2024 at Ganondagan State Historic Site and then in July, he will participate in the Marvin Joe Curry Veterans Pow Wow in Allegany County.
