RIT Graduate Students in the Spotlight
They are prepping their presentations.
Graduate students at RIT are busy gearing up for the annual Graduate Education & Showcase November 16 -20th with approximately 70 students highlighting and explaining their work through oral and visual demonstrations. It is also a chance to learn about the overall state of research at RIT.
"This year’s Graduate Education Week and Showcase is centered around the theme, 'A Vision into the Future,'" said Twyla Cummings, associate provost and dean of graduate education at RIT. "This is our 13th year, and we’re so proud to put a spotlight on our students’ oral and poster presentations, demonstrations, and visual exhibits, and to involve our alumni community. We’re using a virtual platform that enables our students to safely share their rich and diverse research and scholarship--and for the audience to interact with them. This is a great venue for the public and potential employers to see the high-caliber work our students produce."
The Office of Graduate Education says broader topical areas will include Sustainability and the Environment, Engineering and Computing, Physical Sciences, Health Science and Technology, and Physical and Mental Wellbeing. You can learn about things big and small, from star formation to quantum computing.
