Please join us on Monday, November 11th for our 9th Annual Veterans Day Breakfast as we celebrate Veterans, service members and their families. The breakfast is from 8:00 -10:00 a.m. in the Gordon Field House and Activities Center.
The theme for this year’s celebration is “Service after Service”. Monroe County Sheriff Todd Baxter is the keynote speaker, a leader who embodies this theme. Sheriff Baxter joined the local police force following three years of active duty with the U.S. Army as a Military Police Officer. He continued his military service with the U.S. Army Reserve, 98th Division, for another 19 years before retiring as a Master Sergeant, Brigade Anti-Terrorism and Training Non-commissioned Officer in 2005.
Take time to talk with your students, colleagues, family, and friends about this upcoming celebratory event. We want to showcase photos of your “Service after Service” either during your military career or after. Please submit them to Devon Watters at dewpro@rit.edu
In order to plan appropriately for breakfast, we ask that you register at https://www.rit.edu/diversity/vetsbreakfast by Friday, November 1st. If you have any questions, please contact Sandra Whitmore at swwpro@rit.edu or 475-5453.
