RIT Celebrates National Hispanic Heritage Month
During National Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15 to October 15) we recognize the contributions made and the important presence of Hispanic and Latino Americans to the United States and celebrate their heritage and culture.
Hispanics have had a profound and positive influence on our country through their strong commitment to family, faith, hard work, and service. They have enhanced and shaped our national character with centuries-old traditions that reflect the multiethnic and multicultural customs of their community.
The Division of Diversity and Inclusion in partnership with the Center for Campus Life hosts a multitude of events/programs during this time that are open to all RIT Community. We are excited to have our keynote Julissa Calderon at RIT. She is an Afro-Latinx actress, writer, and comedy producer/director from Miami. You may know her from her Buzzfeed and Pero Like videos which have garnered close to 100 million views. Please join us on Monday, October 21st at 6:30 p.m. in Ingle Auditorium. Free event.
