RIT is Taking the Challenge
Self-directed opportunities to learn more about racism.
RIT has joined other Rochester area institutions, businesses and organizations by making a commitment to take part in the United Way’s 21 Day Racial Equity Challenge. It begins October 23and runs through November 20.
RIT leadership, led by President David Munson, Ellen Granberg, Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs, James Watters, Sr. Vice President for Finance and Administration, Keith Jenkins, Vice President and Associate Provost for Diversity & Inclusion and Jo Ellen Pinkham, Associate Vice President and Chief Human Resource Officer for Human Resources issued the invitation to the campus community to join them in the challenge.
Here is how this self-directed program works. Emails with links on topics like “Understanding Bias” and “Housing Inequities” are sent daily to participants for 21 days. Each exercise only takes about 10 minutes to complete.
