Ivanna Colon joined the Division of Diversity as the new Assistant Director for Upward Bound. Previously, Ivanna worked with SUNY Oneonta as the Access to College Excellence Counselor within the Office of Access and Opportunity Programs.
We would like to congratulate and recognize several DDI members for their continued successes.
Stephanie Albert, Director of Diversity at RIT’s National Technical Institute for the Deaf (NTID), was a co-presenter for the Steps to Success for deaf and hard-of-hearing 9th through 12th grade African American, Latino, and Native American (AALANA) students from July 12-15, 2018 during the Southern Regional Black Deaf Advocates Conference in Raleigh, NC.
Silvia Carballo, Senior Staff Assistant and Dan Downie, Faculty Recruitment Assistant are now AIRS Certified Diversity and Inclusion Recruiters.
Stephanie Paredes, Assistant Director for Multicultural Programs was a panelist during the: Presenting the Future: Seneca Falls Revisited - A Women’s Equality Weekend on August 23-26 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Rochester, NY, hosted by Civically Re-Engaged Women.
Lorraine Stinebiser was named Interim Director for the Office of Faculty Recruitment.
RIT Global appointed Kate Torrey, Director of the McNair & LSAMP to serve on their new International Fellowship Advisory Committee.
Sandra Whitmore was elected to serve on the RIT Women’s Council Board as Membership Chair.
