- This Summer I …
It’s a popular question now that summer is almost over and a new semester is just getting underway. What did you enjoy this summer? Check out these answers from some of your DDI colleagues.
Alexandria Collins, assistant director, MCAS Student Development
“I spent most of my summer outside – hiking, kayaking, swimming and just being with my family and friends outside.”
Mollie Radzinski, senior communication specialist, University Communications
“I would say the thing I’ve enjoyed most this summer is all the time spent with my friends and their children in my “aunt” Mollie role. This is a photo of me and my goddaughter Grace at her first birthday party.”
Kendall Scott, director, Native American Future Stewards Program
“I had the honor of representing RIT at the Marvin "Joe" Curry Veterans Pow Wow in Salamanca, New York. It was heartwarming to witness the genuine interest and curiosity surrounding our institution's innovative work, with inquiries ranging from cutting-edge robotics to our broader educational initiatives. Reconnecting with old friends, including the esteemed Ruben Littlehead (Northern Cheyenne), Sr., who has been a driving force behind major Pow Wows in Indian Country, and Kalandra Yazzie of the Navajo Nation, added a personal touch to this gathering.”
Taj Smith, executive director, Culture & Diversity Education
“I went to Cincinnati, Ohio and Toronto, Canada for my vacation and birthday celebration this summer. I turned 42 in Toronto this year. In the photos, the boots are from the Bata Shoe Museum I visited in Toronto. Over 13,000 shoes are located there. I also visited Canada's Niagara Park Botanical Garden.”
Sandy Whitmore, executive director, Marketing and Operations
“My husband and I celebrated our 23rd wedding anniversary this summer in Key West. It was so hot but we had a great time fishing, enjoying amazing food, and listening to various genres of music throughout the week. I love seeing the roosters all around the island each day.”
