Calling All Artists for Black Heritage Month- Let Us Showcase and Celebrate Your Creativity
The Division of Diversity and Inclusion’s Black Heritage Month Legacy Art Exhibit will be held February 1, 2022 in Fireside Lounge.
The theme this year is “Legacy”. That can mean ancestral, of course, but it can also mean cultural, social, political or historical legacies. What does “Legacy” mean to you?
RIT students, faculty and staff are invited to submit a piece of their work by January 24th. Submit artwork ideas here
Prizes: There will be 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place awards along with a People’s Choice Award. Only students are eligible for all prizes. Faculty, staff and students are eligible for People’s Choice Awards.
Conditions of Submission: Submissions may be in any of the following mediums: photography, painting, ceramics, drawings. We will not take digital display submissions. Submissions from group collaborations (two persons or more) are welcome. Participating individuals should ensure their details are included in their submission. Artists may submit a maximum number of one piece and your work must be original.
Artists are responsible for ensuring that there are no copyright issues or other legal issues attached to images used or the subjects of their commission. Successful submissions will be required to supply the artwork to DDI at a time to be advised.
