Congratulations to some of our RIT colleagues who recently completed the Division of Diversity and Inclusion’s Cultural Humility Certificate Program.
If you’d like to know more about the program, we have information on our website, including this definition: “Cultural humility is a life-long self-examination and accountability process that helps people think critically about their own assumptions, beliefs, biases, and values in order to address historic and current inequalities.”
Director of Diversity Education, Taj Smith says taking part in the program takes real dedication. Each person must attend a total of six workshops that can take at least a year to complete.
