If you are struggling with a class, please contact Vicki Rocha, academic advisor, or stop in the department office, INS 2101. She will discuss your needs and provide you with resources to help.

Most of your needs can be met through the following resources:

  • The Academic Success Center – This is a good place to start to meet most of your tutoring needs, including math, chemistry, and physics. View the most up-to-date schedules here. This site is your virtual guide to navigate student learning support services at RIT. Whether you are a student, parent, advisor, faculty member or other interested person, this site is designed to help you sort through the various programs and services offered at RIT to support students as they move toward graduation.

  • University Writing Program - Resources are available to help you to communicate more effectively through writing. Consultations are available by appointment at www.rit.edu/writing.

  • Individualized Tutoring - Even after the use of the above resources, we may recommend individualized tutoring to help you succeed. Note that tutors are a valuable resource, and will only be assigned after your advisor is confident, through one or more meetings with a student, that individualized tutoring would be beneficial. Department funded tutors are assigned only with department head approval, and are subject to tutor availability.
