Brian Landi and Katie McConky have been named department heads of the chemical engineering and industrial and systems engineering programs in the college. Both bring extensive teaching, research, and company experience to the academic leadership positions in the engineering college.

Micatu Inc. donated its groundbreaking Gridview optical sensors to RIT for a new campus learning lab. The equipment allows faculty and students to monitor renewable integration and manage the addition of distributed energy resources onto the campus microgrid.

When the incidence of the COVID-19 virus increased locally this winter, clinical test labs experienced larger than normal volumes of specimens—and higher expectations of rapid turnaround of results. Industrial and systems engineering (ISE) alumni and former faculty members helped a local lab meet those goals.
