Christine Vargas ’93 is the President of Vargas Associates. She has over twenty-five years of interior design and facilities project management experience that includes many high-profile education, healthcare, and municipal projects.
Most recently, she has been sought after for her work with COVID-19 compliant space planning, assisting organizations with the re-opening and design of their organizations using protocols that follow the latest practices for safety in the workplace.
Founded in 2004, Vargas Associates has been serving the Upstate New York area for almost 20 years, after discovering the unmet need to assist organizations with addressing logistics for their workspace. The firm was recently recognized as the 2020 Interior Design firm honored by the Rochester Business Journal’s Excellence in Construction and Real Estate Awards. Vargas Associates is a New York State certified Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE) in the state of New York.
Christine is a graduate of Rochester Institute of Technology, where she received her bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering and holds a national LEED-AP certificate by the US Green Building Council. In 2020 she was inducted into the Kate Gleason College of Engineering Academy, and has twice been nominated for the Small Business Council Business Person of the Year. She is also an executive board member of the Rochester Downtown Development Corporation.
