Crassidis, graduate students win “Best Paper” at international conference

Agamemnon Crassidis, professor of mechanical engineering, and mechanical engineering graduate students Joshua Coleman (MS) and Aashrita Mandalapu (Ph.D.) were awarded the Best Paper Award at the 2024 International Conference of Control, Dynamic Systems, and Robotics in Toronto. Their paper, titled “Model-Free Sliding Mode Control for Coupled Square and Non-Square MIMO Systems,” proposes two extensions to a novel globally robust control system called model-free sliding mode control.
