    Lucie Le Scolan came to RIT from Rennes, France, on a study abroad trip last fall as a graduation requirement for her former school. Once she completed her five-year engineering diploma, she decided to return to RIT for her master’s degree in engineering management.

    Engineers today must be able to manage technical aspects of projects but also work effectively in a diverse, multi-cultural workplace. RIT is preparing its engineering graduates for those growing demands and was recognized by the American Society of Engineering Education as part of its national commitment to improve diversity within university engineering programs.

    RIT Venture Fund helps turn ideas into businesses

    Launched in 2012, the RIT Venture Fund invests in early-stage, high-growth companies founded by students, faculty, staff, alumni and RIT Venture Creations client companies in fields that complement RIT’s core academic competencies. From block chain and clean-energy technology to telecommunications, manufacturing and game development, the Venture Fund looks to create industry diversity and a vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem.
