McConky earns Rochester Engineering Society recognition
Katie McConky, department head of industrial and systems engineering, received the Engineer of Distinction designation from Rochester Engineering Society on May 4 at its annual meeting and award ceremony. The designation is given annually to recognize outstanding achievements and contributions to the engineering profession. McConky, an expert in data analytics, machine learning, and operations research, applies these technologies toward improving energy efficiencies and resiliency in the electrical, transportation, and cybersecurity sectors.
