Hockey Glass Flipper
Each year, all of the glass panels surrounding the ice rink are removed for cleaning and to clear up event space. Throughout the summer, the glass panels are cleaned by hand and must at some point be turned over. Previously, the rink staff had to flip the glass over by lifting the panel up on one edge and letting it drop down onto the table. Our design replaces this process with a much safer flipping process and removes the need to manually lift the glass panels vertically entirely. Each panel can way up to 250 lbs, so by removing the need to manually lift and control the glass panels, the rink staff is under much safer and sustainable conditions.
