Maple Syrup Reverse Osmosis System
Our exhibit is a demonstration of a reverse osmosis system for processing maple sap. This system will remove roughly 50% of the water in sap. This RO system will be used before a propane evaporator. Using the RO system in-line with the evaporator will reduce the carbon emissions by roughly 50%. This system is the first step of making maple syrup from the Maple trees on RIT's campus.
