Radio Telescope for H1 Hydrogen Line Detection

Multidisciplinary Senior Design project developing a radio telescope to read emissions from the H1 Hydrogen Line in space. Radio telescopes use radio waves to detect celestial objects instead of a traditional photo lens, allowing for recording of astronomy data at any time of day through any weather condition. A telescope prototype was developed for installation at the Buffalo Astronomical Association's Observatory in Java, NY. The telescope prototype can be remotely accessed across the internet to read and record data in real time.
